I want to goto all the parks with my gf... we hate the rain though. Does it rain the first week of October in Orlando? Any recommendations on timeframe and other things to do in Orlando besides the major Disney parks?

Yes, it does rain sometimes the 1st week in Oct. When it does rain, it usually lasts 20 mins or less & usually rains after 3pm.

Besides Disney & Universal Studios, there are dinner shows, Gator Land, Airboat rides (usually like $40 per person), lots of put put golf, flea markets, Ripley's Believe It or Not muesum, Holy Land (if you are christian, very religious), City Walk (dance clubs at Universal Studios), Mall of Millenium (shopping of course), drive to a Cocoa Beach (about 1 hr or less), NASA (museum), drive to Tampa (gamble at Hard Rock Hotel), Sun Cruise casino boat (about 50 min drive from Orlando), etc.

I gave you websites for cheap place to buy dinner show tickets, Gator Land, & Airboat rides.

Thats a good list to start with. Have FUN!!!!

88 degrees and sunny so far. This is a service that I provide to all of my clients. I would love to be your personal travel consultant. There's great scuba in Florida also. But you can't go to Orlando and not visit Universal Studios and Wet & Wild. I have discount tickets. Contact our office for no obligation prices.

My hubby and I were in Disney from Oct. 25th to Nov. 4th, 2005...I was told before we went that it rains about an hour a day...We were there for 10 days, and it only rained one day for about an hour (but we were inside eating at the time, so we were OK with that)...I guess it all depends on Mother Nature, though...I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, and have fun!!!

Oh, the weather will be fine, I'm sure. And you're going to have an awesome time. The Year of a Million Dreams Celebration begins October 1st. Lucky, I wish I could be there. There's going to be a lot going on!
