an interview opportunity?? I've been hoping to work for that organization since senior high. I recently just got my MA and found the org's recruiting entry-level employees. For one job they offered, I really think I could be a nice fit-in.. I therefore sent them my resume, and an autoreply message told me to wait. It's been 2 wks now, and I feel my chance's getting slimmer; yet I don't want to just give up. I feel a strong desire to reach someone real -- can I write to its VP?

Sure, you can write. Be aware that the VP will probably send your letter/resume to the person who is getting them through normal channels, with a note on it saying "I don't know this person" so it's not taken as a recommendation.

I don't think it'd be a good idea. Maybe call and ask for Human Resources and let them know you want to follow-up on an application submitted for .... and if you can provide any thing more for consideration.
