My school is crazy about this. They freak out if you kiss your boyfriend goodbye. I know they don't want people making out in the halls or people groping each other but they are getting ridiculous about it. Its not like people are having sex at school or are doing anything worse during school hours. They will give detention if you kiss your boyfriend. Its not a problem for me since my boyfriend goes to a different school but I think my school is getting crazy. What do you think?

I see nothing wrong with a quick hug or peck, or holding hands. But making out in the halls, I agree with you no-one wants to see that. Time and a place -and everything.
Perhaps the school come down hard on every display of affection so they do not run the risk of some bible-thumpers raving on about how the school encourages underage relationships. even when there is no sex involved, some people think that teenagers can not get to the kissing stage in a relationship without wanting to take it one step further all the time. So while you are complaining about them being too hard, it keeps the bible-thumpers happy and out of the school office demanding that something be done to stop it.
Anyway, isn't it more fun when you don't have permission?

I don't think there should be a problem with giving a quick good-bye kiss between classes. Now if someone was french kissing and pushing up against the wall or a locker, that would be different. The need to worry more about kids doing drugs in the bathrooms!

I think a lil kiss is okay but if you are sticking ur toungue down eachother's throat than yeah i dont think you should do that in the hallwayz or outside just get across da street or something so they cant call it school property and no sex in schools... A hug should be allowed anytime though.

its not just in the usa that they have these rules they have them in australia to
they tried to stop it wen i was at high school but couldnt because they couldnt control the amount of relationships that were happenin.
depending on the extent of affection people are showing i think its ok
a kiss on the lips or a hug is fine but wen kids start to how do i say it maul each other in a grotesque way its wrong and action need to be taken.
im only 20 and i dont like to see people full on getting it on in public places it grosses me out

Being in school is only for short time in your life. Respect is a hard lesson for people of all ages to practice. There are rules everywhere. Even as adults you still have rules to live by. There are rules at work too and they are similar to school rules. Just like the kissy, huggy thing. There rules in public places, shopping malls, cinemas, etc....

each and every severe college and previous is like that . merely be careful once you are attempting this form of ingredient that no person is there yet in keeping with risk a pal or 2. its cool once you get into college reason you could kiss andhug your individual persons all you pick formerly type and the instructors do not care. i'm a junior in college and that i'm 22 and that i'm engaged to be married and my guy is with me on monday and wednesday a week we hug and kiss alot and carry palms and stuff.. merely attempt to cut back down or do it while no person is calling or something ok..

I think a kiss on the cheek, hand holding, and hugs are okay.
Anything else is too much. I'm married and my husband, and I don't even kiss each other on the mouth in public. In my opinion its just plain RUDE.

I know what you mean. There's this whole safe schools policy - you can't even hug or hold hands!! So the only way to do it is somewhere secluded.
But I guess it depends what the age range is in your school. Maybe they think you're too young to be involved in this stuff. That makes sense...but...then again, I don't know what grade you're in.
