try getting on line and going to Mozilla firefox.com, download the free 1.5 version, (free download) and use that server to fix Internet Explorer. in the address bar type in (I.E. fixit)That will pull up sites that look for problems on I. E. and fixes them or tells you how.
If that wont work, click on START then control panel, click on internet options, at the top of the screen you will see a place where the homepage is highlighted in blue, hit the delete button and then click on the one that says use blank remember to click on APPLY at the bottom of the screen..
then exit all of that and try again, you will get a blank window, type in google .com in the address bar , if it comes up use that to search the web for mozilla. Mozilla is just like I.E. only better.

that's a pretty common thing with slower computers or when you have too many IE6 windows open at the same time AND are switching between them while they're loading.
It's not a problem really, don't be concerned. Not much you can do about it anyway. Just the way Windows works. Hopefully they'll fix that with Windows Vista.
IE7 betas and now Release Candidate (RC) 1 are more stable but this STILL happens sometimes.
Get Firefox on their machines. It's a lot more stable. But sometimes this WILL happen also. Basically it's a Windows problem.
So nice to hear about your work. Congrats! You must be a really nice person.

I know it sounds lame, but you could ask them to try to install Mozilla Firefox (an IE comparible alternative web browser, just download the link and then run it, not too complicated)
People seem to like it, and for this situation (since they are elderly) would probably be a better solution instead of reinstalling Internet Explorer

Such problems are typically pretty deep rooted.
Try reinstalling or updating Internet Explorer. If that doesn't fix the problem, then replacin the RAM sticks may help.
But really, if Internet Explorer is their only problem, then I'd persuade them to use Firefox instead.

I wouldn't download any old 1.5 version of mozilla, just use the latest Firefox from google:
http://www.sleekbytes.com/search_the_web_with_google.htm
While there try also Niche they r both free and can be installed at the same as the others, including explorer, then have a couple of icons on the desktop for them to use/explore as they fancy

The sure fix is reinstalling Windows. Anything else is a gamble, and may or may not fix your problem. Reinstalling Windows will fix it for sure. It's a lot of work, but it's a guaranteed fix.

You need to take note of error information. There usually is a "click here" link, and the information it gives you will help to solve the problem.
