If the mother tests positive Social Services will probably take the baby into emergency care.

Apparently the laws of natural selection have not kicked in yet.
The baby will likely have all sorts of disabilities later in life and hopefully is a terrible burden on its idiotic mother. Thats is what she deserves for being so stupid. To bad for the baby - that getting stoned was more important to his mother than his health.

i dont know the laws, but the baby would probably be confiscated by the DSS or something for child endangerment. afterall, the mother could have killed her child while it was still developing by using drugs, so precautions must be taken to ensure for the child a happy life where their own mother wont put them at risk of death again.

Sorry,
But everything ingested by the mother is passed onto the baby. If the mother did drugs then they are in the babies system also.

They could probably still take the baby if they determine that it is in the best interests of the child

actually, if you've never been introuble before you will have to adhere to Childrens Protective Services and what they want you to do.

sometimes the state can take the child while you begin your courses, but sometimes they allow you to mother the child while doing your classes.

things such as:
parenting
drug rehab groups

you may have to maintain a decent place to live....ect. ect.
