a small sitting room on the roof of a house with windows all the way around. The sailors' wives would sit up there and wait for thier husbands to return from sea. Sailing was dangerous back then and a lot of sailors never made it home, hence the term "widow's peak"
oh and it is also a way to describe a balding pattern where the hairline is pointed on the forehead.

it is a hairline that forms a V or comes to a point in the middle of the forhead- it is a little more dramatic than a receding hairline. My daughter had one when she was younger, her hairline has changed a little since then so it is no so pointy.
It is the hairstyle they use for vampires, female vampires especially but it is a naturally occuring hairline- go to google.com and click on images and type in widows peak, you will get some good pictoral examples.

A v-shaped point formed by the hair near the top of the forehead. The use of "peak" to refer to the beak or bill of a headdress, particularly a widow's hood, dates to 1530. So the term derives from a mourning hood.

If you are not looking for the hair definition, there is a widow's peak on a house. This occurs when you have a platform or balcony on the highest point of the house. This was for sailor's wifes to look out to the sea in hopes of seeing her husband return.

I don't have a picture, but Eddie Munster has a fantastic widow's peak. Apparently, hair that comes down in a point portends widowhood.

Vampires tend to have them.

A widow's peak is the hairline on the forehead that protrudes out to form a 'peak'.

Look at Eddie Munster. You see how his hairline comes down into a point on his forehead. That is a widow's peak.

It's where you hair comes down in a point in front of your forehead. It has to be pretty apparent for it to be a peak (like on a mountain).

Its when a the hair on your forehead comes down to a point. If you see a stereo-typical photo of dracula or any vampire they tend to have very big widows peak.
