well u said HAD, is it gone now? if it is and u didnt use any medication then it wasnt wettail. they die from wettail without medication from the vet and sometimes even with it, if not treated in time. seeds wont cause diarrhea but too much fruit/veggies will. make sure u only give her about a half inch piece of fruit or veggie once a day or a few times wk. u can add some children's plain pedialyte to her water 50% water 50% pedialyte to get her back on her ft if she's still recovering.
stress can contribute to it also. dont wake her when she's sleeping and make sure her home is in a quiet draft-free area of the house.

Sounds like wet tail, get him to the vets ASAP coz it can be fatal in hamsters, especially elderly and very young hamsters

My guess is wet tail. My hamster had it, he died a couple days later so get medical attention (for your ham) ASAP. Keep her hydrated with cucumbers. Sunflower seeds are meant to be treats, they are high in fat, but I doubt it can cause diarrhia. Too many fresh fruits, veggies, and treat can be a cuase too.
Point- Get medical attention ASAP!!!!
BTW I wish you and your ham the best of luck! :-*

It sounds like wet tail. Either way, an animal that small will dehydrate much more quickly that a larger one simply because of the reduced size (not much to lose water from). If he is still alive, I would take him to a vet who sees exotics -- he's considered one. Please take care of him. He depends on you.
Good luck!

All are solid pets for various motives. Mice are small, very lovable, exciting to video reveal, spastic, do not stay that long, and can scent. Hamsters are the middle of the bunch, center sized, lovable and fluffy, may be fairly friendly while you're form to them, sleep for the time of the day. Rats are the main important of the bunch (i've got considered some extensive rats), the best (pick fairly some interplay and affection), and those with the worst acceptance (the black plague and issues like that). Rats additionally are quite short lived. My advice may be to get a hamster first, to work out while you're mushy with a center sized rodent, and get rats or mice later (or yet another hamster) staring on the way you felt with regard to the hamster. by ability of how, have you ever considered getting gerbils?
