Taking over Iraq. While I have very little doubt that that's true, why doesn't Bush ever mention either of the two when he makes his speeches? I can't catch all of his speeches so maybe he has mentioned it.Your thoughts.

Iran became a threat once we overthrew Saddam. Sadaam fought a long war with Iran to a standoff - fueled by us thru a third party. Now we come along and deliver Iraq to Iran on a silver platter by installing the shi-ites.

The story about reasons for going into Iraq have changed many times since we've gone in. In several (most) cases they have been misleading at best and outright lies or incompetance at worst.

Oil certainly plays a part of it, vendetta another, stability in the region yet another. WMD's, Spreading democracy, ties to 9/11 and all the "official" made up reasons are a ruse.

Both of your assumptions are wrong. We get the majority of our Oil from Venzuela & Canada. Additionally, we could have dropped the sanctions and bought the oil for half the price of the War. Cheney's a businessman, he would not make that kind of financial error.

If you had heard his speech last evening after the 911
events, he spelled it out for everyone to understand. He
said, we're after terrorists and Iraq was one of the strong-
holds, so we started there. AlQuida nuts are swarming
there but didn't think we'd come after them since none of
our other presidents did tho they were bombing even during
other president's terms.

Well you've been told what other people want you to know. so it goes to say that you need to look for the answers yourself and not rely on what others tell you.

Think for yourself.
