Even if you are family, do you think you can give advice of a baby if you do not have any of your own? Especially if you are not asking for the advice.

I have a friend who seems to forget that children are children and so her advice is poor for children. As a result I do not listen to her. There are some people who while not parents who can give very good advice - child psychologists (they have done a lot of studying to get these degrees), nurses who work exclusively with children. So you need to look at the source (in the case of my friend - she is just and aunt).

I give advice to parents all the time and I dont have any kids. The thing is...you are from the outside looking in. You can see certain things that parents might not see. Just because you are a parent doent mean you know more than non-parents. I have kid experience. Sometimes parents are in denial about their kids. My mom didnt know my brother was smoking and people told her. Well she loved him so much that she believed him when he told her he wasnt. Love is blind. Parents want to believe that their precious child can do no wrong. Parents dont know everything about kids. If they did, they wouldnt have any in the first place. If that kid is anything to you, you have every right. You can love a child that isnt yours. One day if you have kids, you will apreciate the advice. Any parents would and should.

You think surgeons should only remove tumors if they've had them removed themselves? You don't have to be sick to have knowledge that is helpful to the sick and I certainly don't need kids to give common sense advice that the parent should have known in the first place had they had the common sense God usually gives to rabbits. If people give a parent unsolicited advice, it's usually because the parent appears to be screwing up so badly that others want to get involved.

From what I've seen of some parents in my community, I know more about parenting because I own a dog than they know by actually having a human child.

Well i would have to say no it's not wrong. My sister is the only one in our family who doesn't have any kids but I don't feel that she can't give me advice. I know she would be a great mom and she is going to be one in 4 weeks...(just had to add that lol). I would say that if your going to give advice on a child do make sure that you know this child well. Not just on family gatherings. That you actually spend time with this child. But if you were family to me and you wanted to tell me something, I would probally listen but that doesn't mean I would do it.

yes, we have the right to give advice, bec their are alot of mediums to learn how to take care of a baby, the difference only is that, if u dont have kids of ur own, pple always think that it is just an heresay, coz u just read it from a book or magazine or seen on tv, and stuff. but advice is just an advice either they listen to u or not, its ok at least u tried to help.
the details bwt ur question made me blur so i hope i got this right.

That seems to be the trend in the world today. After all, smucks give advice to politicians even though they are not politicians, advice to law enforcement even though they are not, advice to teachers even though they are not teachers and so forth. I know they do not have the knowledge or experience to give advice but you would think they are a genius in that field.

Sometimes other people know more, but I think that since you didn't ask the person that makes his/her wrong from your eyes.
