Hi. Please does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a model of a brain for a 5th graders school project. No food can be used and it has to be 3D.
I bought a styrofaom head but where do I go for here?
Anything you can tell me will help. I am not very creative. LOL

First of all what does your 5th grader know about the brain?
That's what should go into the project. I suppose the student could paint the Styrofoam head to represent the various parts of the brain under study. Acrylic craft paint should work. Permanent markers would be good for labeling.
Another option would be to make a clay model of the brain.

This is just a guess ok?
Since Halloween is just around the corner, I would go and try to find a bald head...........Now since you cannot use food, find a pack of modeling clay (near the crayons) and form what looks like noodles)I guessyou have a picture in a book to go by, and try to form a brain (You may need some elmers crafting glue) and glue it all together. Don't put them too far apart, maybe 1/2 inch all around the bald cap......( If you cannot find that then you can use a cheap wig and cut most of the hair off except for 1/4 inch to let the clay glue to that...........Good luck hope this helps

Go get gray colored Play-Doh, combine all of it until you get the brain size. Then mold the entire thing into 2 long strings, which you then wrap each separately and then join it together into a shape of a brain.
Buy a stick and a small wooden platform. Nail the stick to the platform and stick the stick in the bottom of the brain and label it "BRAIN".

Get a frosting bag, with a circular tip ($2-3 total at a craft store) fill the frosting bag with soft clay, and squeeze it out ... it'll make a long snaky trail you can fasion into any shape you choose...

Maybe you could put "silly putty" all around the styrofoam ball. It would probably be pretty easy to shape it to look like a brain.

a footbal cut in half, then draw the stuff like on the inside of the brain, and use the flat side without the finger things, and put tissue papre on the top. it needs to have a texture or your dumb. the smoother it is the dumber you are! good luck.
