I don't think it means anything - I know there are lots of 'pop psychology' and new age books about purporting to tell you meaning of dreams, but serious psychology has moved on a long way since the days of Jung, and many papers I've read imply the brain is just 'defraging', sifting through unprocessed information. Fun, but signifying nothing!

It simply means this person is on your mind either for WHO they are or SOMETHING or SOMEONE they represent that has significance to you. Spend time thinking about it, sharing it with others and play with it vreatively until you start to see different scenarios. Anything you do to connect it to your conscious thoughts can be a big help. I do not believe there is any right or wrong dream interpetation so it helps to have friends with wisdom. Avoid the idiot psychics... take time to grow SPIRITUALLY (NOT religiously), meditate and share your experiences with wise and creative people.

It means you were thinking of them during the day. I find that when I am well rested, anything I have thought about during the day will appear in my dreams.

That you have thoughts about them you might not be able to commit to reality. Something about this person lingers in your subconscious, and when you dream, your hidden desire and/or emotional thoughts come to light. But it's just a dream, don't act on it.

it means you are thinking about them as you would during the day but instead you are asleep, they must be on your mind. we all dream about people we know, i even hear voices of people i know as clear as a bell while dreaming. the mind is very powerful and not yet fully understood.

It means that they are in your mind, consciously or not. Honestly, I don't think it means anything other than that you probably thought about them during the day.
