Ingrown toenails are caused by improper cutting of the nail. If you cut too much into the corner of the nail, the nail will continually grow into the groove/nail wall. That is why you might feel pain.

To help ease the pain, use a manicuring tool such as orangewood stick or cuticle pusher. Apply very little cotton on tip by using swirling motion. Once you have a tiny amount of cotton on tip of stick, pour little alcohol on cotton and some on ingrown nail. Then, slightly push stick under corners of nail and use hands to push the cotton under nail. This cotton must stay completely under nail. (Once done, it is optional to apply some nail glue there so it will stay.)
Leave cotton in there for as long as it will stay. If cotton comes out, reapply new cotton. Put a little alcohol there everyday to keep bacteria at bay.

Next thing to do after applying cotton is to have nail clipper/ cuticle nipper at hand. What you need to do is cut a slight V shape in the middle of the tip of your nail. This will help the nail grow out flat, because it is now growing inward.
This will take a few weeks, so be patient.

When this is fixed, remember to always cut straight across. If you like the nail to be round-shaped, make sure not to cut the corners.

Bathe your feet, be a very very brave girl and lift the ingrown part of the nail and cut it off. It hurts but as you are doing it to yourself you can gauge the pain. You can go to a chiropodist who will do exactly the same thing at a cost.
You need to form a clear channel between your toe and the nail and that means cutting it out. Wish you luck ..its a very common yet painful problem.

Go to your doctor and have him remove them with the proper tools, anesthetic, and get a prescription to control the pain.

Or bite down on a belt and go at that bad boy with a pair of pliers.

I've tried both and recommend the first option.

This question has already appeared and answered too. The answer which was selected as best then still remains the same, namely 'Do it the painful way by picking and digging it out, It's the only way that I know how to do it but It works just fine. Just grit your teeth and go! '

IV's do not harm except the guy does not understand what they're doing, in hassle-free terms a splash pinch. As a medic, I provide and get carry of IVs usually so my and the different medics skills are maintained. they are actually not undesirable. merely relax, do not look them doing it, and you'd be high quality.
