I don't think it should be a holiday holiday, but i defintly think there should be cermonies, church secives, memorials, and tons of prayers on it! I guess it could be a holiday, just because it was that tragic and we need to remember it forever! So scratch my first statement, and I'll go with a YES! 9/11 in my prayers forever! And for everyone who says it shouldn't because its not a celebration- what the heck is memorial day then? isn't that a day for remembering the victumes and vetirans? that's a little celebrtion AND morning for the ones lost! Halloween, is that a celebration? It's more a weird thing(not that i don't love halloween)

I'd say not a real one. Surely the attack on Pearl Harber was more significant but it does not have a major holiday. So in the interest of consistency you'd have to make a major holiday of Pearl Harbor day.
Also holidays are generally for celebration and we probably shouldn't celebrate september 11th.Even Memorial day is generally used for recreation, not what it was intended for.
So no.

How soon we forget our own history.
If you're going to make 9/11 a day of national observance, you have to make 12/7 one first in rememberance of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I agree with alot of what has already been said. I have heard it referred to as Patriot's Day. And, yes, not all holidays are celebrations, there are remembrance days also.

i do not imagine it will be a visit vacation, yet i defintly imagine there might want to be cermonies, church secives, memorials, and many prayers on it! i guess it would want to prefer to be a visit, in basic terms because it replaced into that tragic and we prefer to undergo in recommendations it consistently! So scratch my first truth, and that i will bypass with a confident! 9/eleven in my prayers consistently! And for each body who says it shouldn't because its not a celebration- what the heck is memorial day then? isn't that an afternoon for remembering the victumes and vetirans? it really is a splash celebrtion AND morning for those lost! Halloween, is that a celebration? it really is better a unusual aspect(not that i do not love halloween)

No because holidays are meant to celebrate something and 9/11 is a day of loss and tragedy! It should be marked in a calendar but not a holiday!

No.
There should be no day of rest in honor of the acts that bad men, all over the world including our President, implemented to continue their quest to unite the world in a New World Order.
You need to scratch beneath the surface to realize this happened on purpose. To slowly take away our rights... which is happening as I type..
Way too many Americans think that we are the victims of Muslims, or terrorists, when the actual terrorist is the man who runs the USA.

This is one of those cases where a "case for a holiday" will gradually occur. Certainly, here in New York City, it is a very somber day, to say the very least.

It will more than likely be regarded similarly to D-Day, with memorials and remembrances rather than a national day of observance.

I think it should be a day when we remember those who died, however I don't think we need to establish a national holiday. It will be remembered without someone signing a piece of paper making it legal.
