well i have a gun safe which is heavy as h--- and after trying several times we decided to use a dolly with air tires such as one would to move a fridge or freezer with a strap to prevent it from moving all though you didn't mention the type of surface the safe is to be moved over i hope this is of some help

You could also use a pallet jack if you have one at your disposal...or a handtruck if it's not too heavy
