At home I listen to my music at around 115 decibels. I have an SPL meter and I flip it on for the heck of it. The highest I have had it up to is 123 db but then my Onkyo receiver clips out. I plan on getting an additional amplifier at http://www.onecall.com but haven't got around to doing it yet. My speakers are the highend BP2001 speakers from Definitive Technology.
So I guess you can say I like loud music. I only listen to it that loud for about 30 minutes per week though. Huh, what did you say? Is one of my most common statements. I also can't understand the words to most songs anymore hence I started a lyric site because I got tired of getting spammed to death looking up lyrics all the time (oh, the site is http://www.lyricvault.com)

I don't know, can you get more than 5 answers here? The type of music I listen to really depends on my mood; if I have this irrepressible urge to kill something or someone, yeah, I'm screamo all the way! If not, then no, you know?

Screamo is the best. So is hardcore/metalcore. I just picked up the new Norma Jean cd today! WOOT! I know This Came From High School, they're old news to me at least. Crash Pillow is the jam :)

I like loud music but not necessarily screamo. Could you give an example of what defines screamo; perhaps I do like it, but never recognized it as such.

screamo music only sounds good if the tune behind it is incredible and not junk.

screamo can be the shiznit at times....they can scream but you have to be able to at least make sense of what their sayin tho
