I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious. But the best anybody in this forum can do is guess. What did the doctor say? That's going to be your best source of information. Good luck!

Sweetheart I hate to tell you this but at 11 weeks if there is o heartbeat then the baby probably has passed. I know how awful this is to you. I am 13 weeks pregnant and this is my 8th pregnancy. I lost my last baby at 20 weeks with no heartbeat on ultrasound. The same with the others before i went in and no heartbeat. I found out after these loses with no bleeding or cramping to indicate the loss just the absence of the heartbeat that I have low hormones and had to be put on progesterone with my current pregnancy. Good luck and god bless, I'll keep you in my prayers and if you wanna talk email me. Please let me know how it turns out for you

I too had gone to the Dr. at 8 weeks and there was no heartbeat. They should be able to hear it by this time, especially by 11 weeks. My Dr. had me wait a week in case I was not as far along as they had anticipated. The week was stressful and when I went in for another ultrasound there was still no heartbeat and the fetus actually got smaller. So, it ended with a D&C.

This is just my own experience, you cannot live life by Yahoo questions. Please contact your doctor. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time, I know what you are going through. Just remember like I was told, the hardest part about pregnancy is getting pregnant itself. At least you know that you can get pregnant. (I am now 20 weeks along). My experience only made me stronger.

this is not a good question to ask here, unless there are obgyn's here. But I have heard that if there is no heartbeat then you will loose the baby. Sorry to tell you this. I would go try to get a heartbeat. If you do not get one from a doctor either being ultrasound, or my a heart monitor then the news is not good. Sorry.

If your doctors didn't seemed concerned I'm sure everything is fine. I had my first one around the same time and they got the heart beat once but needed it again to confirm it. They could see it though, the baby was just too active to pick it up a second time. I'm sure everything is ok. During your next appointment they will listen for the heartbeat. They also sell headsets at motherhood and i think babies r us that you can listen to your own baby's heartbeat at home but I think you need to be so far along. They do work though, my sister and I passed one back and forth....which I need to get that back, lol. You have to know what your listening for, it's much faster than you heartbeat. It's reassuring though if it bothers you. You might want to check out soon and keep it on hand. Good Luck, I'm sure everything is okay!

They can do a Quantitive blood test. They should draw blood and 2 days later draw blood again to see if the HCG levels are still rising. HCG levels double every 2 days. It doesn't really matter what way the baby is turned, however. They should still be able to see the heartbeat with ultra sound at this point, unless the tech is not doing their job properly. Good luck.

The doctor should have told you something. I would assume that if the doctor didn't tell you to be worried than there is nothing to worry about. But do not take my word for it, go to the ER and get a doctor to do another ultrasound! Good luck and God Bless!:-)

a fetus, or a gathering of cells in your case is in the shape of a human at this time but, the heart is not developed enough to pump blood. At this time it is very fast, as it flutters. It may appear to be still but there is movement. The ultrasounds only work on nonmoving or slow moving tissue. The speed that your babys heart is beating is phenominal at this time, he/ she is actually using your system to move the blood in his/her tiny body. DONT be afraid, and call an older "AUNTIE" that has bore all of her children. Your doctor will have answers as well as many medical personell these questions are ask all the time!! Fear that your baby is healthy is part of the protection that is growing in your body. This protection system is god given, it is how we all got older, " our mothers said, " dont play that stick, while it will poke your eyes out" and she took the sharp stick from us!!

Go to your OB/GYN now, or go to the ER. They should be able to hear the heart beat. If the technician could find no heart beat you should have immediately been told to go to the ER or to contact your Dr. Go now and see what they can tell you. Good Luck, I'll be hoping for the best for you.
