Only OTC meds for the symptoms, NOT the infection. You have to take antibiotics to rid yourself of the infection. Plus the OTC stuff can make you feel bad. Get some cranberry extract capsules (not cranberry juice...too much sugar) next time you feel one coming on. Recently I started drinking Monster instead of coffee and haven't had one since.

The only medication that will clear up a UTI is antibiotics. I'm not sure of the name of the brand that is usually prescribed, but it makes your urine orange. Cranberry juice is a homeopathic remedy that can help prevent you from getting an UTI, but antiobiotics is the only thing that will get rid of it. Please go to the doctor and get the antibiotics - don't try any other home remedy. You'll want to kill yourself from the pain if you keep waiting.

There are medications only to alleviate your pain. If you have pain, a burning sensation etc. while peeing then you definitely have UTI. There is no medication for curing UTI. AZO tablets are the ones which will help in minimising your pain. You will get them at any pharmacy store. The doctore will prescribe you antibiotics which will get rid of your infection.

I just learned about UTI 's and the body system itself.

I believe monistat one (1) is a vaginally inserted medication in a capsule form? Other than that I am not sure, talk to your doctor or go to your local pharmacy.

Hope this helps.

You can use Uristat, which will take away the pain until you can get to the doctor and get antibiotics. You are only supposed to use it for a few days at max, and it's not going to cure you - just make you feel better by easing the pain. Best thing to do is get to your doctor asap.

I use Cranberry Fruit Capsules. They are in the vitamin section. Take them and drink a lot of water to flush it out. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel so fast.
