I´ve heard on the news that mantlerays are being killed in revenge for Steve death. What´s happening with all his efforts teaching us to respect, protect and love animals? Everything he did risking his own life to show us the real animal world, FOR NOTHING?. Have we have to blame the grog for this savage behaviour or it is just pure and simple bad instincts. His own country is let him down before de rest of the eyes of the whole world. Shame on you!! Whoever YOU are!

No. Steve lived a good life, & fought the good fight. The idiots who are defiling his name- know NOTHING about who he was or what he stood for. -They just want to take their OWN issues out on creatures they fear & don't understand. Try not to fret about it, even THIS shall pass- LONG before Steves legacy does...

I guess Steve understood what these people don't. He respected the fact that he was on THEIR turf when he was with animals. He did his best to read them and learn about them and he behaved accordingly. He knew the risk, and he knew what he was doing. He was in a freak accident, but it would not have happened if he were sitting on his couch watching tv, the rays did not come after him. He was on their territory. Punishing the innocent animals is insane! What will happen if this continues is they will stop being the gentle animals that so many people have safely interacted with for so long, and will become suspicious and dangerous. Dolphins used to come up to boats in the ocean and play with people. I was lucky enough to expeience that years ago. Thanks to commercial fishmen, they don't trust people anymore.

You can't be serious! They're killing manta rays in revenge for Steve Irwin's death!? I find that very hard to believe. I mean, I know most people are stupid... but THAT stupid? No, I can't believe it.
