I am a huge Vikings fan. I was extremely disappointed with the camera angles and the fact that occurances on the field were unseen since they were showing crap like shots of Jamie Foxx, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes... I like Fox's coverage much better! Anyone else notice this or feel this way too?

Hey unitedf1rst.. I do have HD. The pic doesn't make the camera angles and the lack of showing what is happening on the field pop up magically..

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I thought I was the only guy who thought that way! Imagine those guys covering a super bowl? As far as I know, it'll never happen since CBS, Fox, and NBC rotate each year in that order. NBC filling in for ABC's slot. OK it's cool to talk to Governer Schwarzenegger for that one series about getting football back in Los Angeles and throwing Anaheim in the mix too so the NFL won't have an odd number of teams but who gives a rats *** for what Jamie Foxx thinks. And who cares that Tom Cruise is sitting with Daniel Snider. Keep the camera on the field and talk between downs and not during them! The only reason ABC lost MNF to begin with was because of the caliber games they showed each week. If not for that you wouldn't even be asking this question. Also no one can replace John Madden & Al Michaels.

Don't forget Joe Theismann, ever the football partisan when the 'Skins are on the field.

The Tom Cruise shots were understandable considering Daniel Snyder's recent deal with Cruise's production company. FOX puts out a good product, but they still overuse the garbage overhead angles they ripped off from the XFL.

All in all, the coverage didn't rub me the wrong way. I enjoyed my first Vikings game since those idiots acquiesced to manufactured controversy and traded Moss away for magic beans. The main thing I remember from last night's game is not worrying about our QB fumbling or throwing a pick in a pressure situation.

I like ESPN's MNF coverage. Tirico is one of the most underrated announcers today, plus he's a Syracuse man. Kornheiser and Theismann play off each other nicely, and I think their relationship will continue to grow. I also like Tony's e-mails with the music from the old radio show, which if you never heard was great. All in all, give it a little more time.

As much as I like football, ESPN has managed to ruin it for me. Theisman is bad enough, but Ron"I know it all too" Jaworski as a color commentator? Is the next step Theisman and Jaworski on the same show? I may never watch ESPN again. P.S. If I was the least bit interested in Foxx, Cruise, or Holmes I would be watching Entertainment Tonight. Maybe they had Cruise on to show us that there is a bigger asshole than Theisman in this world. Thanks for letting me VENT, I needed that.

Mike T and Tony K are awesome, but Joe Theismann is terrible. As with the second game, I actually liked the coverage; now the games themselves, that's a different story.

So far I've liked it better when it was on ABC. ESPN's coverage is going to take a lot of getting used to.

i wasn't impressed with last nights game on ESPN, but, i only watch ESPN when Ohio State plays and ESPN is the only channel showing the game.

i guess they wanted to point out Tom Cruise (who isn't worth mentioning) and Jamie Foxx and what have you. i liked it when it was on ABC too.

i share your loathing buddy, and we should boycott ESPN for showing us people, who pays to watch ESPN because they are BEYOND CRAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't like the annoucers who suck and the stupid little pill that acts as a scoreboard at the bottom of the screen.

It sucked. For a minute there, I thought I was watching Jerry McGuire.
