Quit consuming so much. Have light snacks like apples and smoothies. Do not comsume High Fructose Cornsyrup, though it a "sugar" your body processes it as a fat. Exercise. Bike riding is low impact and fun. My Husband and I bike ride to the mall. If we are going to consume products then we at least won't be consuming gas. Besides its fun watching everyone in a traffic jam as you go zooming past.

One of the more effective ways to lose weight is to change your diet and exercise more. I would eliminate processed food as much as possible, reduce sugars and carbohydrates and increase your protein. Eat plenty of fresh and raw foods, esp. fruits and vegetables and if you are going to eat carbs, make it whole grains and potatoes.

Smaller meals helps, and more meals. Most people find that 6 small meals throughout the day works better than 3 large meals. Personally I eat 5, breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner.

I have read studies that say binging will put your body into survival mode and you will store more fat than you would from eating 3 squares a day.

the long answer:

Figure out what you are doing that is causing you to be heavier than you want. Talk to a doctor about what you come up with and work out a reasonable plan with attainable results.

Shorter answers:

- drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water per day

- drink as few sodas as possible (like none)

- eat whole foods (anything not out of a box) so that you can control the amount of fat/salt goes into them

- eat a balanced diet (fruits, veggies, lowfat dairy, lean mean like fish and chicken, and whole graines are good; potatoes, white bread & pasta, cream sauces and sweets are generally not so good)

- don't deprive yourself of anything (instead if you HAVE to have a peice of birthday cake at a party, eat a small portion of the piece then throw the rest away)

- lastly, EXERCISE (if you can't afford a gym, make weights out of gallon jugs filled with water, walk around your neighborhood, run up and down the stairs of your home, rent or buy workout videos, mostly DO SOMETHING)

Some 12 years ago when I was around 70 I had switched on to raw food,no salt diet . Within six monthis my bing had receded so much that it almost touched my back so that I could not sleep on my back but had to sleep on one side. The recession had in no way led to any loss of energy. In fact I could cycle up a small hill non-stop and still go ahead. I lost my weight--some 23 kgs. in this period but ,as I said , it no way made me feel feeble at all.

Exactly that... don't binge.

Eat less, eat right, and exercise.

Another guide is to eat like a "king" at breakfast, like a "lord" at lunch, and a "pauper" at dinner. In other words, Large, medium and Small meals. Large for the energy during the day, medium for sustainment, and small at night, because you are going to bed and won't be hungry while asleep.

just keep eating right and exercising, just like everybody else. Don't try anything if you aren't sure if it is safe or not.
