i no they didnt have a captain in the 05-06 season..and their last captain..scott stevens..who i still think is frign awesome retired a while ago, so do u have ne clue if they will have a captain this upcoming season?? if they do i think it should be gionta or elias..they rok

If goalies could be captains, it would definately be Brodeur, but they can't so I think Patrick Elias. He's a leader on and off the ice so he's a perfect choice. Maybe Sergei Brylin because he's got a lot of experience playing with Scott Stevens, Nidermayer and Ken Daneyko. He's also three Stanley Cups to show-off.

thhey do not have any. they have three or four assistant captains since scott stevens left
