Hi all! :) I just wondered how many different versions you've heard of the old saying:

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."

Here are the only other two that I know of:

"You can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think."
(from someone in the horticulture industry)

"You can lead a heart to love, but you can't make it fall."
(from a George Strait song)

The horticulture line is an old Dorothy Parker joke, as she was asked to use horticulture in a sentence
