YES. If people realize that something is "better" than what they have or what they have experienced, then they will definitely desire it, whatever it is (heaven, wealth, love, etc).
It comes from realizing that something is finite, while what we truly desire for is something infinite. Thus is man's constant search in life, and the idea of God.

It is a huge generalization. I would however think that most humans want better than they have. It is part of what makes us human; to want and strive to be something, or leave something behind. To be the best, or at the very least think we are the best at what we do. Most want better, if not for ourselves, it is for our children and loved ones. Better is not necessarily more money or material things, it could be a better, cleaner, safer world. Whatever you decide is 'better' is what you want, it could be a different 'better' for someone else, but we all want it.

yes i do believe people do but the problem is that they want every thing and won't work to get it and when they see things that look like a better deal they jump at the chance to get it but their not thinking about the old saying everything that glitters ain't gold so yes everybody wants a better life and better deal but no one wants to deal with the consequence that sometimes comes with it

Yes if you call striving for food & shelter a better deal. However there are different levels of comfort. Some will work towards it; saving for a rainy day. While many will not.

I am sure they do. I think the differences come from how they want to obtain it...or they want it given to them
