Dried fruit? Ha,ha! That's the first time I ever heard that. What the heck does dried fruit smell like anyhow? Maybe she's wearing eu de dried fruit perfume. : ) Well, it's better than smelling like BO. If you have a close relationship you could just nuzzle her and say, "Hey, you smell like dried fruit". Then run like heck as fast as you can. :)

I found the best way to tell a woman she smells strange is just to tell theR, the more you make a big deal about it or act like its something your embarrass to talk about the more she will feel bad.
you should try this HONEY WHAT KIND OF PERFUME ARE YOU WEARING. SHE WILL ANSWER DIOR OR I'M NOT WEARING PERFUME. WELL WHAT KING OF CREAM DO YOU USE BECAUSE YOU SMELL LIKE DRIED FRUIT, IT DOESN'T SMELL GOOD. THAT'S IT MAN THAT'S YOUR WIFE ITS BEST IF SHE HEAR IT FROM YOU, BECAUSE IF I EVER SEE HER TRUST ME I WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM TELLING HER THAT SHE STINKS.

I take it you don't like the smell of fruit or is it the rotten fruit stench? That's funny.....
Definitely be honest with her, but also help her find the source of the smell.
If it's breath.....mouth wash, floss, brushing teeth, mints.
If it's vaginal... douches, body sprays, bathing.
If it's skin.... lotions with fragrance or body sprays, also consider the foods or medication that she is eating that may be causing the skin and body to excrete that smell.

Why not buy her a new set of perfume that you would like her to smell that way.
Then tell her, "honey, I would love you more if you could use ths perfumes always, so that you will not smell like dried sweets,. (not fruits)
I think she will love it.

Buy her a nice assortment of shower gels and scented soap. Get her some good smelling cologne and ask her to use it everyday. Be diplomatic. It will pay off.
