Technically. ugliness is a mind set that we humans have as a descriptive term to anything that it is not pleasing to the eyes, or basically any of our senses. Some would argue that this concept is somewhat shallow since our perception of beauty in today's society is so demanding and specific, when in fact only a small percentage of people and things that are described as "beautiful" actually exist in coexistence to those that are "ugly". Keep in mind that this is due to like i said, our shallow and prejudicial views of humanity and life in short. We expect too much of ourselves to be happy, and that point, where our senses are being pleased by something beautiful is very rare since as our culture (as humans) grows we expect more and more of ourselves, in the end changing to please others while ending up not recognizing our true selves through the dramatic changes. Thanks for asking this question, i really enjoyed answering it.

Ugliness is something that comes from inside. I have seen many beautiful people that the longer I knew them the uglier they looked to me as I began to know their personality. And I have known some not extremely beautiful people who the longer I knew them the more beautiful they became to me.
I also agree with the answer above me in regards to this.
And the two below me they are all so right.

Ugliness to me? Beautiful > ugliness > twisted > .... .to upset > to impress > sublimate.

I look like painted by Picasso. With something fancy, I look as well as a mature man.

Or, > UGLINESS, n. A gift of the gods to certain women, entailing virtue without humility.

To me, ugliness is the absence of reason.

Beauty can be found everywhere, except where reason has been kept out through ignorance.

Ugliness is what you see in self obsessed people who will stop at nothing to get their own needs met irrelevant of the cost to anyone else - usually they are quite oblivious to the fact there is anyone else except themselves.
