Is he afraid he'l find something better along the way if he commits?? Why did he say....'A big part of me wants to marry me and a big parts doubts'. Is that not true love....Although he did say he loves me very much many times.....We are in a long-dis rela now???

Marriage is a great big step, because it means total commitment to that one person for the rest of your life, if of course you take your vows seriously. Most people, men or women are scared to death of it. I am female of course and I say you should backoff and don't push your partner, when he is ready it will happen, until then, just take it day by day, it doesn't mean he is on the prowl for something better. Marriage is a huge responsibility and maybe he wants to make sure he can fufill that requirement before he takes the plunge.

Yep, marriage always scares a guy. The though of just one woman, for the rest of his life, is a big problem for most guys. Even in the most committed relationship, a guy still thinks 'it's OK to have sex with another woman'. Remember that guys separate sex from love....

Marriage, as it's suppose to be, is really final, sacred and YES scary to anyone, if you think about what you're VOWING to do for the rest of your life. It's nothing to rush into if you're not absolutely sure. After all, about 60% of marriages break up and most of the rest who stay in them are miserable. That's not something you'd wanna volunteer for like choosing what color socks to wear for the day, ya know?

He's not sure, yet. He may still be looking. Don't press for marriage, but don't stay intimate until he is ready to commit.
