If you have the Windows CD, it is as simple as loading it and reinstalling Windows. There is an option there to reformat before installing a new Windows

Click my computer
Then, right-click on your hardrive that you want to format and click format.

dont mean to sound cheeky but do you not have a manual..

wot type of laptop is it .

on mine , all i have to do is to put the start up disk in drive turn off , then turn on holding f12 down till the screen pops up then it does it for ya , but all are different , i have toshiba sat a50 .

go to my Computer then right click on local disk C or D and click on FORMAT
