The United States is obviously beginning it's decline, much like the Roman Empire did. It's unfortunate and saddens me as an American, but one must be a realist. Our government has gone out of control and is becoming more restrictive every day. Our people are brainwashed by an ongoing campaign of fear and confusion. Our economy is entirely dependent on foreign loans and we don't even have the resources to help our own people in times of natural disaster. Religious fundamentalism is rampant, academics and intellectuals are being wire-tapped. Over half the world hates us. It's really only a matter of time at this point.

So what will YOU do when the Empire falls? Personally, I hope that I can relocate elsewhere, most likely Turkey which is a very nice place, good food, beautiful people, and a rich history and culture, and not to mention currently one of the most diplomatic nations in the world. Don't call me a terrorist, I have not threatened anyone or mentioned any names.q

I relate to your concerns, but AmeriKa, as it is, is still worth fighting for as far as living somewhere. I'll probably choose to die right here, no matter what or who is actually dictating the quality of my remaining life. We may have to accept that the earlier part of our lives was the "Shiznet", and just try to adapt, and live the remainder of our lives as best we can.
