You die, because electrocution by definition means death from electric shock. However, you might have meant, "What should you do if experiencing an electric shock?" The first thing to do is, if at all possible, discontinue contact with the source of the electric shock. Remove your hand from an exposed wire, for example. Unfortunately, this isn't always possible, because an electrical circuit can attract the objects it flows through. If you're stuck in the circuit, try to destroy or deactivate it in some way, by severing or breaking another part of it, or turning off the switch that powers it. Also, shout for help. If you are present and someone else is suffering from an electric shock, try to break the person's contact with the circuit by interposing a piece of wood between them and the circuit. Wood is a strong insulator, so it's very good for this. Metal is the absolute worst thing to use, because it carries a current and could result in your being electrocuted, too. Plastic and cloth are intermediate; they're not conductors, but they can carry static electricity, so they're not your best choice.

Electric Chair: A high-voltage alternating current surges through your body for two or three minutes--typically starting at 2,000 volts at 5 amps, with the voltage varied periodically. Your muscles instantly contract to a state of absolute rigidity, causing your heart and lungs to stop immediately. Some medical observers go so far as to say your blood will boil. If bolted in too loosely, an arc may jump from the electrode to your body, searing your flesh.

The electricity causes all the muscles in your body to contract at once. Victims of electrocution often "clench" tightly to whatever it is that caused them to be electrocuted. In some cases they have had to be knocked off or away from the source of electricity.
