i have a cd writing capable drive but i cannot write on discs unless i get a program which will write on it, not that i want something such as limewire that i can download music i just wish to copy cd i have for back ups

EAC (Exact Audio Copy) is a great program. Its the best when it comes to configurability and error correction. http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/

Does your comp. not have Windows Media Player? If so, use it to burn CD's.
