Because they think they're sooooo damn cool! It's a young people thing for the most part. I'm 23 now, but when I was like 18-19 I had $2,000 worth of stereo equipt. in my car. And it ALL got stolen! What a waste of $ right?!?!?!?! But I would have gotten rid of it anyway by now, because I totally grew out of it. Plus, it made me practically deaf!

I've got to admit I'm guilty of doing that sometimes, can't really explain why I do it, but my new subwoafers aren't exactly helping the situation :). I love listening to my music loud.

Either because they LOVE the song that's playing, or because they want folks to look at them and their car as they drive by (sadly, it works). Maybe a combination of both!

They are rude and obnoxious. I've had to have a chat with a few who drive up and down our street. It seems to catch their attention when I write down their license plate numbers.

maybe they want to get peoples attention to see how "cool" they are and how awesome their car is. However, I personally hate it.

to look cool in their car, it's freaking annoying. they have their hand resting on the door, nodding to the music, thinking that they have the sh*t. ugh
