What is shown in the film is fairly accurate.
However, it's not the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
It only goes a tiny fraction of the way to revealing the whole truth. Probably because most people wouldn't believe the whole truth.
But you are on the right track by asking this question.
When you see people whining about conspiracy theories, don't forget that the government's story is just one big conspiracy theory about 19 hijackers. There is not a single fact to support the governments claim, yet hundreds of facts which refute it.
Those who shout 'conspiracy theory', and refuse to look any further are living in denial.
Most of these are not theories at all, and make no claim as to who did it. They simply point out that the government's story is a lie, and why it is a lie.
The deeper you look, the more you discover. Once one is on the track, the plot gradually reveals itself, until the full picture unfolds. It is beyond the comprehension of most folk, because they have blockages caused by loyalties, patriotism, and gullibility to mind control. It prevents them from making a calm logical assessment of the facts .
If you want to see the work of a researcher whom I know to be very thorough, then look at the site below.

There's no smoke without fire.
But there are things we will never know. The Saudis can not be seen to be radically changing other countries in the middle east, theyre position is fragile. They have people in their own country against them. Which begs the question-are our troops working essentially for the financial arrangementsd between west and saudis.
The attack on 9/11 was an attack on an alliance between east and west. Who is really behind it is anyone's guess. It all causes more questions than there are answers. Such as are the saudis playing a double game with the west.
Celebs - what do they know! Dislike listening to them shooting their mouths off.
There certainly is a huge distrust from either side.
Good luck with your quest for answers!

Mike Moore is known for his clever misleading edits, one-sided arguments and half truths. He's a very clever and skilled film-maker, and his methods are quite effective. While he may make some points in the movie, it is definately biased and has a clear agenda of portraying certain people as negatively as possible, sometimes by stretching and even breaking the truth.
I'd definately go and check out some of the counter arguments and reveals of what Moore did to mislead his audiance and give them wrong impressions. A few links:

A couple documentaries that counter Moore's movie have been made as well. "Fahrenhype 9/11" and "Celcius 41.11." If you really want to see both sides of the story, check them out.

I recently asked a similar question. I asked for five specific lies in the film which no one could provide. One guy basically cut and pasted "59 deceptions in 9/11 Fahrenheit" -- this is readily available on the internet. However, this piece does only had a couple of "errors of fact" and much about selective editing, disagreements with opinions, aleged distortions, personal attacks on Moore etc. Nothing that disproves the overall premises of the movie -- and much of the movie is just straight footage that speaks for itself. Yes, Moore does use some questionable tactics to is point across, but most of the points ring true to me.

No. It was very exagerating to say the least. Especially about the 2000 election. There are 2 time zones in Florida and poles closed at different times which caused a lot of confusion. See the doc. film Celsius 411, it explains a lot of what went on in Fart911.

No it is fabricated propaganda done by a man who hates the President with a socialist agenda. Watch or try to buy Celsius 41.11 and it will tell you the truth behind the lies of fahrenheit 9/11. Also read a book called Michael Moore is a big stupid white man for more insight and truth behind the lies.

It's extremely accurate, but it is also extremely one-sided.
Michael Moore's website includes responses to every single claim that he lied about anything in this movie.
After reviewing the websites that 'debunk' his claims, go to http://www.michaelmoore.com and read his defense of each attempt to debunk his work.

It doesn't have the blind defense of Moore that you get from the left and it's not the shrill ignorant hatred from the extreme right either. It will probably give you the best idea of the level of truthfulness of the film.

Answering that question yes or no would really be impractical. However, the guy is always encouraging people to find out for themselves. Do a little research. He has provided the sources for a lot of film's material here:
http://www.michaelmoore.com/books-films/f911reader/index.php?id=16
But any truly interested person is going to use multiple sources in their investigation.

I think that there is something going on that we don't know about.
All the witnesses (including firemen), hearing a series of explosions before the two towers came crashing down, can't be wrong.Check out the Michael Moore website.

Okay, you are in luck. I don't like Moore, but I can control myself and I make a point to watch all his stuff, because I want to know what he is up to.
Fahrenheit 9/11 worked its effect on me. Then I watched Fahrenhype 9/11 [narrated by Ron Silver] and felt like a fool.
I can't really explain the thing to you, except to say that if you want a good critique, run out and rent that movie asap...
