be a friend and be understanding. those kind of people need honesty and caring more than anything else.

don't let her depression get to you because it can happen.

continue to tell her that seeing a counselor is not like seeing a psychiatrist where they administer medicine and make you sit on a bed. they really listen to you and together you try to solve your issues.

sooner or later she has to see someone for help otherwise her problem might get the worst for her.

The only thing you can do is be supportive if/when she will let you. Bi-Polar is a serious mental health condition that is only controllable by medication. If she is unwilling to do the things that are needed for her own mental well being there is really nothing you can do.

Have you spoken to her parents and told either of them how worried you are? I have a very close friend who is bi-polar. She was planning suicide. Thank God her husband got thru to her. If your friend finds out it was you who spoke to her parents, she will probably be mad for a short time. Expect it! But isn't that better than burying her?

So why don't you tell US! what you want US! to tell you to do, so you can take her to the counselor. Then one of US! might 10 points. :)
Better yet ask your friend how you are to do it.
