I am trying to find a dress that is very short in front (above the knees) and has a long train.

What "style" would you call this? Any ideas where I can find a picture of or link to find such a dress?

Thank you so very much in advance!

There is a dress like that at http://www.alfredangelo.com/index.cfm/fuseAction/COLLECTIONS.productDetail/fromAdvancedSearch/0/productID/58ebc5de-3fe5-4f2e-9772-a55f696c0963/categoryID/32e5a88c-cbf1-498f-afcf-dbfca138c5d3
It is described as a High-Low hemline. Hope that helps....good luck!

Hmm, you know, I don't know what the "technical" term is for it, I just called it an "uneven hem"! All kidding aside, look in the patterns books at Hancock's, Hobby Lobby or Wal Mart. The bridal section of the pattern books should have something there that is what you are looking for, or close to it at least. Vogue, McCalls, Simplicity, Butterick, they all have beautiful designs. I believe they all have websites, too. Good luck!

I'm not sure what that hem line is called but I know they make prom dresses like that. Maybe you could look into prom dress and find out what it's called. I'm sure if you can afford it... if you tell a designer what you want they can design it for you!
