I'm a junior at a university in Texas and was wondering what the job interviews are like. I'm really awful at them. I tend to studder and my mind goes blank. What kind of questions should I look forward? what should I wear? HELP!

You should wear a suit, As far as questions, be prepared to be asked about your experience (student teaching and other jobs), classroom management, your college and experience. You've got to try to be yourself and emit an air of confidence. Its really hard before youve had any teaching jobs, but its there once youve taught, so try to reflect that confidence.

Career Services at my university offers practice interviews specifically for Education students. They will also help you build a portfolio of materials that you can bring to the interview, including letters of reference, evaluations, lesson plans and self-designed materials. However, the best way to get a job is to milk the connections that you made when you were a student teacher, and also to contact your old schools. Most schools prefer to hire teachers they already know, whether it was through your student teaching or time as an actual student.

Study interviews...practice what ur going to say and let someone help you. Or write down what ur going ot say

dont be if its something u love just focuse on that im 14 and i want to be a teacher 2 i wouldent be woried
