Pretty much the same as the rest of us, Is this the White-European Aussie or the Japanese Aussie, or the Chinese Aussie or the Aborigine Aussie or the ones who are inland and haven't seen the sea?
Seems to me they accept many people in but have a tougher selection programme which involves people working and not free loading.
It's not particularly healthy in a large area of of their huge land, not many living things in the Simpson desert where water is a at a bit of a premium.

I think your question is a not-so-thinly veiled reference to the John Howard Governments hard line approach to refugees especially those arriving by boat and the controversy surrounding many deaths that have happened as a result. This strong line would seem to play well with a lot of the Australian people.
It's probably unfair to assume that all ordinary Australians are happy to see non-white refugees die in this way.
