My little sister's best friend mom dresses like super whore. She thinks everyone is looking at her because she looks good but most people laugh at her. Her body frame is thin but dumpy she has a belly that looks like she is permanately 7 months pregnant from all the beer she drinks. She is loud and obnoxious. She thinks it is cool that her sons get high sons and encourages her daughter to have her boyfriends spend the night. Her daughter, my sisters friend spends most of her time at my house to avoid her mom. I forgot to mention she changes sex partners the way most people change underwear and then brags about it to anyone who will listen including her children. She is not the only parent I have seen acting this way. Men do it too. it is not pretty and pretty much embarasses their children and they don't seem to care. What's up with this new generation of parents?

She sounds like someone that has been on the Maury show, you know the kind who go on there and their kids beg for them to have a make-over? Well, that's good her daughter doesn't like how her mom acts, and it's also good that she has good influences like your little sister and you to show her that the way her mom is is not becoming, and that's not how women should act. Don't encourage her to avoid her mother, because that's still her parent, but do encourage her to know that women have a lot more to offer than what's between their legs, and that drugs aren't good either. Poor kid.....

Just be grateful these mums are not your mum. As a mum of 3 the eldest an 18 year old girl, I am very aware of my job that I am mum first and then maybe my own person and possibly a friend. I am not ugly and have done competition aerobics all my life so still have the same body. In saying that I would never purposely flaunt that to anyone especially not in front of my kids. My daughter sometimes says 'mum you are skinnier than me' and I always answer with, ' I know I'm skinny but I also have more wrinkles' These mums who just cant seem to move on, are possibly insecure and feel they need to try and be 16 again and I feel sorry for them as I have an incredibly special relationship with my kids, but they always know that I am their mum first.

That is really disgusting, but very sad too. I have seen many parents dress ridiculously, but it's even worse that she acts like a dog in heat.

Children of such parents are being cheated out of a real childhood. Parents should be a kid's best role model!

I'm proud to say that my folks were very uncool when I was growing up. And you know what? Sometimes being uncool makes your home a supportive environment to raise kids. This is stability.

Who's to blame? Probably the media.

The funny thing about aging is when a person looks in the mirror the changes are so gradual that one doesnt even realize that they look or are getting older. This is natures way of protecting us. I dont think she is trying to be a mother but a friend. However, she is not helping those kids in anyway. She needs to get a life with her own friends. She'll realize that when her kids leave in a few years. Thankfully this is not your mother if you feel this way.

Bad parents have been around since the beginning of time. There are bad parents like this all around us. Unfortunately, it is the kids that suffer...Your sister's friend is lucky to have a safe place to go to when things get bad at home. Your family has shown her that not all families are like hers, and not all parents act inappropriately like hers do. You've given her the best gift you can give any child, a safe place to go when she needs it, and a good healthy example of what a good family is supposed to be. Hopefully, she will learn how to be a better parent to her own children someday...Thanks to you and your family.

I think it's very sad. Try to help your sister's friend. Invite her to your house and on family outings. She needs good friends badly. And not all parents of this new generation are like that. Probably most aren't. I know many fine, very young parents. Pray for this little girl, even if you're not religious. It works.

You can see what this woman is. and you are not in a position to make a difference, all you can do is try to support your sisters friend. it sure helps to have some one who at least understands. And you are right some parents just never grow up . If they did they would have to be responsible. Some people should never be parents, and it is up to the people who care to deal with their irresponsible actions.

you should not let your child hang out with or be anywhere near an influence like that. Just explain to her that your family doesn't behave that way, and you believe that they are a bad example. too bad for the little girl , but I'm sorry , you have to protect your own . And there really aren't too many people like that .
