No that is just a silly rumor. Around the time that she came out with her album Goodies there was a model who also went by the name of Ciara, turns out that Ciara the model was a hermaphrodite and everyone got her confused with the singer Ciara. Just because you hear something enough doesn't make it true.

I heard that, too. I don't think you're mean, but I think the people who started that rumor are. I've heard that more times than I can count, but I'm pretty sure you know how evil jealous people can be. I've always looked at it like maybe someone was jealous of how quickly she came up. *(Not even Ciara knew things were gonna move that fast. Single after another.) And I guess this just happened to be one of the most disgraceful rumors that excited the media.

I think that this is just a mean rumor. I did not hear that she was a man. I think that Ciara is female.
