Sadly, there's not enough of us, and there aren't any of us wiht a big say in politics,so depressingly,we'd get crushed, at least at the moment. Someday maybe, but at the moment, the extremem left and right are tearign this country to shreds and htere's nothgin we cna do about it.

Hello? The middle always wins! Compared to the electoral choices in nearly every other country, there is virtually no practical difference between a Democrat and a Republican. Sure the radical left and right can influence policy depending on whose in power, but no real change to the government system ever really takes place. Ever see a Nazi or Communist get elected to Congress? Go look at European Parliaments/legislative bodies. Happens all the time.

We have the opposite problem. We need MORE extremes to widen the frame of the argument and give the forever-elected middle something to think about...

Only if the vast majority if people stopped being apathetic, and started getting involved in politics.

The problem is, it usually take some serious emotional or religious issue to get people motivated, and that's usually easier for the far left and far right to evoke. Which is why the people shouting loudest tend to be the most radical and extreme.

No. maximum human beings, left or correct, help Israel. yet for diverse causes. The Left helps Israel because they imagine this is truthful that the Jews have a fatherland. the right helps Israel because the Bible tells them that Jerusalem must be a Jewish city to verify that Christ to go back.

If I could find some middle libs, I'd be happy to unite with them. "Ultras" are dangerous no matter where we find them in politics or religion. There they are called "fundamentalists." Unfortunately, many think they are moderates when, in fact, they are not. Joe Lieberman, for example, is a Democrat, but a moderate. I could be happy with him, but neither ultra liberals or ultra conservatives are.

I don't think we could win until more people who think for themselves finally see the far left and far right are just opposite sides of the same coin.

It would be difficult with our two party system. Yes, we have 3rd parties, but in reality you only have two choices because of our "winner takes all" electoral system. This forces people to form coalitions to get the majority of votes. So, you get centrists forming coalitions with either the left or the right.

Name one issue where you on 'the middle'. Now go learn something about that issue. If your still in the middle, you don't understand the issue.

I think it's the only answer for our country now. Could we win? I doubt it, but let's try.
