He was citied by ESPN as saying "I guarantee a win Sunday in Chicago."
That's interesting as they are 9.5 point underdogs.

i think its great, i dont like the way the media always hypes up a guarantee but whatever, its just business, and i believe roy williams is a talented player who is capable of making his guarantee happen. i picked the lions to win with the spread and thats exactly what they did, seattle only scored 9 measly points against them. meanwhile the bears are given too much credit as usual. they beat the worst team in football, so what. detroits got martz and theyll fire on all cylinders next week. chicago has got it coming to them. if roy guarantees it, im down and so should you.

I'm a Detroit Lions fan whether they lose or win.I dont like how you guys are ripping us apart...saying we are terrible and we only scored 6 points.Ya we did only score 6 points but we also held a powershouse in Seattle to 9 points, I mean they were in the super bowl las year. And eventually our players are going to get the Mike Martz ofense.

And as far as what Roy Williams said well he can say whatever he wants because he is a very good player when healthy. He is a really big guy and has a lot of speed and quickness for his size.

This story is not even close to accurate. He's still under contract with the Lions. Could I get the link from where yo uheard this? He'll be picked up so quickly if he's ever a free agent.

Yeah maybe they can come "stupid close to getting 40 pts" in this game. After all they did against the Seahawks. Yeah I think he was trying to fire up his team mostly, but unlike Chad Johnson Roy Williams doesn't really have the team to back up promising wins.

Roy better not go across the middle. Number 54 will be waiting to give his opinion on the comments made.

Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions WR Roy Williams vowed to win the Week 2 game. He later backed off and said, "I'm just saying, we're going to go out there and play the way that we're supposed to play, and when we play the way we're supposed to play, we're supposed to win. And that's what I'm saying, that we're supposed to win."

He is a professional football player...no one goes out with the intent or thought of losing. I understand what he means and where it was coming from...

Media making it a bigger deal then it needs to be

Well...Detroit wasn't playing all that bad against Seattle...but that doesn' mean crap. It was week 1...pretty much every team played horribly this weekend...with a few exceptions obviously.

Bears win 24-7

Sounds like Roy Williams may be as dumb as the proverbial rock.

Cleaveland Browns, Detorit Lions and Oakland Raiders have all done a poor job of drafting, they need to stop drafting at the smae postion and make good use of their draft psotion, as for now THEY ALL SUCK DICK!
