If this is a whole-house wired system that is wired to other smoke detectors, then there are two possibilities. One, of course, is the battery. After you replace the battery, if it still beeps, then you need to replace the entire unit. Just make sure you use a compatible unit designed for a whole house system, or the other smoke detectors will start beeping to tell you they don't like the one you put on. Your best bet is to go to the manufacturer's website and order an exact replacement.

you just need to go to your nearest store and buy a new battery..... the beeping will get pretty annoying after a while so i would do it soon
