Well i was at my friends house listening to Green Day (Billie Joe Armstrong is sooo hot) but as we listened i noticed that the "American Idiot" was well making fun of the Americans. well and then they wrote a song about the 9/11 attack. so im getting the mixed signs on green day do they hate us or like us or a lil of both? Now if any Green Day members or fans read this i dont hate green day i just want to make sure i dont get the wrong meaning i say "ROCK ON GREEN DAY!!!!"

I think they were just trying to make a point that it's the government and about the war that is bad not all the Americans because they are American themselves so i think that really the song was written about Bush and well the government and also the war and how they felt and also 9/11 . I think green day rock as well.

I think it might be a lil of both, and I agree with them, America is a young country as you know, so America is stupid in a lot of ways, our president has his blank up his butt! I mean he should've pulled out of Iraq a long time ago, like last year! Its already the fifth memorial of 9/11, so I think its about time we stop looking for Osama Bin Laden and his homies cause its like tryna find a needle in a hay stack! I mean its true! I'm with Johnny Depp as I'm saying this, cause Johnny Depp said America is a young country, what Johnny said about America was that America is like a young puppy, not a dumb puppy! At least not dumb in its meaning. By dumb I know my fave celeb meant young! Also, I agree with Viggo Mortensen who wore a shirt on the Charlie Rose show that said "NO MORE BLOOD FOR OIL!"

Billie Joe has said MANY times that some of the songs are not anti-American, but anti-war.

green day isn't makin relaxing or hate the american human beings. hear to the songs two times and you will see what the completed thought of the songs are. right this is a splash... i do no longer understand how previous you're yet did you ever hear relating to the conflict in irak? american fool got here out in simple terms after that dumb-*** conflict the human beings fought over there so... permit's positioned it this style, they're particularly makin relaxing of the american strikes taken on a worldwide scale.

They are simply not huge fans of the Bush administration and those who in their eyes blindly follow whatever the President says is right.

As long as you like their music then it's fine. Other artists talk about sex & drugs, but if you don't like the song for those reasons, then it's okay.
