I've never heard of such a thing. However, a friend of mine went to Norway to watch and swim with Orcas a couple of years ago. The organisers would only put people in the water with pods that fed on fish, rather than seals.

A person in the water can look similar to a seal, so there is always a chance of an accidental encounter.

Not as a general rule, in fact it is very rare to hear of one being involved in any attack on human beings. The reason they're called killer whales is because they're at the top of their food chain. Fortunately for people, we're not on the list of their dietary requirements & they prefer seals to us.

Not commonly, no. Their main prey are seals, and baby whales--- they hunt baby whales in packs, and will pursue a mother whale and her calf for hours, until the calf tires. There have been some incidents of captive orcas attacking their trainers in places like Sea World --- they are rather bright critters, and may just get sick of the training, and freak out.....

I have never herd of a killer whale attacking a person.

yeah there meat eaters just like they throw seals up in the air and swallow them whole
