She sounds very insecure which is normal especially being young and gay. If she knows you're straight I 'm sure she only likes you as a friend but if at any time things get uncomfortable you'll have to remind her the two of you can only be friends and nothing more. You sound like a good friend and that's what she needs,keep it up!!!!

Just because your friend says and acts like that doesn't mean that she is a lesbian. Even if she is, that shouldn't change the way your view your friendship. Maybe she is trying to let you know that something is wrong in her private life and she is waiting for you to ask if everything is okay. I have been through this recently with a friend that I have had for the last 15 years. We are best friends, but it turns out that she had been suffering with bulimia for the last 6 months and was too scared to say anything. After a while of strange behavior, I finally broke down and had her tell me what was making her act so strange. Sometimes, all it takes is communication. First and foremost, you need to sit her down and make sure everything is okay. If you're still freaked out that she may be a lesbian, then just ask her! Friends shouldn't have to hide things from other friends.

And all girls think other girls look better than them and that they're ugly, so they always tell their friends that "You're so much prettier than me, I'm ugly" so that the friend will say back, "No you're not, you're totally pretty."
