Hi again Simon;

x-3/4=3/2x+1/2
x - 3/2x = 1/2 + 3/4
factor x
x ( 1 - 3/2 ) = 3/4
x (-1/2 ) = 5/4
x = (5/4) / (-1/2)
x = - 10/4
x = -5/2

Could you guess what my only reason is??? !!!

Good Luck.

x - 3/2 x = 1/2 + 3/4

-1/2 x = 5/4

x = 5/4 multiply by - 2

x = -5/2 = -2 1/2
