I have carried low through my whole pregnancy and when he dropped a week ago, I had no clue until my doc told me. However, I was starting to feel sharp pains in my vagina when he moved quickly, but I just thought he was moving and running out of room.

If it is already low, there may not be a change in the way you feel, but sometimes you just think it's low, when really it isn't. Both my babies dropped early, around the 27-30th week. I knew they were lower.. it didn't happen all at once like it does in some women, just slowly over the course of a few weeks. But after they had settled lower, I sure knew it. It felt like I had a bowling ball between my legs that was trying to drop out. It was very uncomfortable. Some women say that it feels like something is grating or rubbing on their pubic bone, or that it feels like they are being ripped from the inside out. It isn't that pleasant, but it is usually very short-lived. Some women don't have a problem with it at all. It all just depends on the woman.

You'll know the baby dropped when it feels like there's a lot of pressure in your pelvis. You can suddenly take a deep breath easier and any pregnancy acid reflux lessens since the baby's farther down. You may feel more awkward walking. I actually felt like there was something ready to 'drop out' right at the end, even though I wasn't dilated at all.

When you start to waddle like a duck and you can't put your legs together is usually a good sign. Seriously though you will be able to see even if you carry low. As the babies head moves down into the birth canal you will be able to tell. GOOD LUCK

I felt like if I opened my legs my baby would fall out. You feel the pressure (down there). Its kinda uncomfortable , but you know that the baby will be here soon , so its worth that feeling.
