If we had a "true" democracy that would mean that everything would hinge on a majority vote. And keep in mind that ignorant people tend to travel in large groups, so wherever they are they would always win because there are more of them, thus they would be the majority vote.

Precisely! True Democracy is not the solution. What we need is to somehow ensure enlightened votes that would be opened only to people who could have "graduated" from some kind of civic classes mixed with serious geopolitical knowledge. This is not discriminatory because anyone should feel the need to apply and I am of the opinion that the more are well informed, the better. This would ensure that the good of the country above any other consideration would prevail. After all, it´s only when a nation is healthy that its citizens can live well. Or am I mistaken?

While much of what you say is true, we also would not have 4 or 5 families that virtually run the US through control of the monetary system
True democracy says 1 man=1vote not $5 billion = 100K votes

They don't understand the history of this country (and the rest of the worlds for that matter. Specifically, Rome) or the construction of our government.

They think that the masses have the same education as the leaders. Which makes no sense.

So they can discriminate against people who are in the minority. That's really the only reason.
