yes but it will strip off any wax that was there, a cheap alternative is like #7 car wash powder, works great, won't strip wax.

If you want to spend a bit more (actually a lot more, about $12) get "ZYMOL car wash, it has lemon oil in it that dry's to a very bright shine, no chemicals in it, the wax is very good too, no chems. German carrage wax w/ almond paste, and oils, amazing results but pricey about $12-16

Sure, but it removes the wax. Try Blue Coral car wash solution.

Its not really good for the paint job. They make stuff just for washing cars, look at Kragen, Auto Zone,etc.

I've done it, and it left some nasty streaking. But I have a dark colored vehicle so the streaks show up worse.

You can but its not good for the wax. Its harsh.

No - it contains salt so won't do your body work any good.
