I work in retail and we have a top that has been on the market for a couple on months now. It is white button up with a collar. It also has a tie on each side of the waist that you tie in front. Very becoming on any woman. It is also a very good seller.

This may not be a matter of fashion but perhaps a matter of modesty. There may have been comments made about some wearing shirts that were too revealing, looked bad, could be any possiblity.
I hate to break it to you so bluntly, but if the Hotel made this decision, the word of one or even all of the employees won't change. The money has been spent. And this is a service industry, it's about the customers, not the staff...
I would let it go, honey. Sorry, I know this is not your style and probably makes you feel kinda goofy but suck it up, wear it well, maybe put your hair in a French Twist and pretend you are Audrey Hepburn.

I say let it go. If the employer didn't take a consensus about the changes before he/she made them, then something tells me that they won't be open to them now. But most uniforms aren't all that flaterring anyways, and your employer maybe trying to portray a more professional business.

Depending on your relationship with your boss, you may ask why the change in uniform. But, it is a uniform. If you really don't like wearing it, you have little recourse except to find another job. Unfortunately.

Not much you can do, usually those decisions come from higher up and a few employees who don't think it's a "hip style" aren't going to change their minds. If you complain, it may just make you look like you aren't willing to be a team player.

Well, the 80's are back! Tops like this are all over fashion magazines right now. I'd just let it go, hey, it could be polyester...
