With the recent situation with Kurt Angle & the with wrestlers like Jeff Hardy,Sabu, shot with the injuries to the point they are not what they used to be & wrestlers like Austin & Foley who where forced to retire early because of major injuries my question is do you the wrestling fan sometimes feel you are at fault because the fan demand so much & want them to do crazier stunts like landing on fire, thumbtacks falling from high places like ladders or balcony's landing on tables etc? Take care & have a good one everybody.

Most of the true and loyal fans of the WWE always want to see a good wrestling match. Matches that have a hardcore surrounding, step it up a notch and are there in order to make things intrersting. This also is wanted to be done by the performers. Jeff and Sabu love that stuff. But I'll take a Angle v.s. HBK match any day.

Absolutely not...wrestling is scripted...they're moves are scripted...they get hurt because they do it wrong. Like last night on Raw. Jeff Hardy got hurt because he did his move the wrong way and ended up flying right into the ropes and then falling onto the floor. Not the fans fault at all. And if wrestlers have so little of a brain to agree to land on fire and tacks...that's they're own fault...

They are entertainers. Hearing the fans cheer for them will drive then crazy. Thus some wrestlers are willing to do the job to the extreme. Like Vince taking blows , to raise the rating of RAW, Sabu and Terry Funk going tru barbed wire match without ropes, but just barbed wire. If you are on the stage in front of massive crowds cheering for you, you will feel the satisfaction. That what feeds true entertainers.

It's like the chicken or the egg. They did the stunts first to be the best and top the next guy so they can get more air time which translates into dollars and being the best. At the same time fans always want more so take your pick.

Honestly,no.Since it comes with the territory. That's like feeling bad for a cop that gets shot at,it sucks but I'm sorry stuff like that'll happen on the job if thats the profession you choose. So they(the wrestlers)know what they're signing up for way before they step in the ring.

It happens.

before the first hardcore match was created there were careers ended by piledrivers.

Austins career was almost ended with a piledriver
Droz was crippled by a routine powerbomb

They know what theyre getting into

my advice to them-- save money, invest well, and retire early

The "set your opponent of fire" matches bored me. Ladder matches are predictable. "Hardcore matches" are just as bad. I prefer a good wrestle match. Picture Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels in Wrestlemania (XXI?) in Hollywood. That was a great match.
Kane vs. Umaga has the potential also, if they keep the weapons out of it.

Well never really thought about it that much, or in that point of view. But now that I have, no, they're the ones with the choice. No one forces them to go out and push their limits. They have the choice. Hopefully I'm not too harsh, but thats my opinion.

You can't possibly hold fans accountable for what the pro's do in the ring!?! That's like saying everyone at Woodstock was personally held responsible for Jimi Hendrix's death.
